A.J. Carsten Company Markets

Since the founding of the company in 1972, our predominate market has been the multi-layer ceramic capacitor industry to which we supplied continuous high temperature pusher slab kilns, belt furnaces and casting machines.

As the market developed and customers' processing requirements became more sophisticated, so did the Carsten Company's equipment. In addition, a number of new lines of equipment to meet the industry's needs have been added.

Today these major markets are:

  1. MLC capacitor chips
  2. Semiconductor substrates and packaging
  3. Technical ceramics such as piezoelectrics and ferrites
  4. Ceramic raw material preparation - Calcining Kilns
  5. Brazing and heat treating - Atmosphere Belt Furnaces
  6. Thick film microelectronics
  7. Fuel Cell industry for power generation
  8. Micro-modules from "green tape"
